Angels of the North is transferring to the West End. Following a world premiere run at Theatre Royal Wakefield, the new comedy written and directed by John Godber will arrive at Trafalgar Studios on May 12. Opening night is set for May 14.
The play follows Dennis and Mick, the most ignorant, offensive and rude taxi drivers in the North. But when longstanding owner Val suddenly dies, they have to deal with her savvy, streetwise, tourism guru of a niece—feisty new graduate Roxy, who takes over running the firm.
Repeating their performances from the Theatre Royal Wakefield engagement will be playwright-director Godber as Dennis, Adrian Hood as Mick and Martha Godber as Roxy.
Angels of the North is scheduled to play a limited West End engagement through June 6.
