All the Natalie Portmans, C.A. Johnson's new off-Broadway play about a young, queer black girl whose imaginations of Natalie Portman offer an escape from a troubled home and alcoholic mother, opened at MCC Theater on February 24. With direction by Kate Whoriskey, the cast is led by Kara Young as Keyonna, the 16 year-old protagonist who's burdened with keeping her family together, and Montego Glover as Ovetta, Keyonna's widowed mother whose descent into addiction places the family in financial danger.
