The final group of stars have been selected to take part in the upcoming Broadway Backwards concert. The previously announced benefit, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place at the New Amsterdam Theatre on March 16 at 8:00pm. For the second year, Jenn Colella will serve as host of "the evening where gender doesn't matter but love does."
Newly announced performers include Jordan Fisher, Nikki M. James, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Veanne Cox, Stephen DeRosa, Robbie Fairchild, Cady Huffman, Beth Malone, Skye Mattox, Eve Plumb, Lesley Ann Warren and Brandon Uranowitz.
They join the previously announced Laura Benanti, Ariana DeBose, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Norbert Leo Butz, Len Cariou, Garrett Clayton, André De Shields, Chilina Kennedy, Derek Klena, L. Morgan Lee, Patti Murin, Ken Page, James Snyder and Elizabeth Stanley.
Creator Robert Bartley will return to direct and choreograph the show; he will be joined by Mary-Mitchell Campbell as music supervisor, James Kinney as co-choreographer and Joshua Buscher-West as co-choreographer and associate director.
What began as a small grassroots concert performed at The LGBT Center in 2006 has grown into an annual event that has raised more than $4.1 million for both BC/EFA and The Center.
