Strong-voiced stage star Rachel Tucker heads home to Broadway on March 3, repeating her Olivier-nominated West End turn as Beverley Bass in the Tony-nominated Broadway production of Come From Away. Tucker replaces Becky Gulsvig, who played her final performance at the Schoenfeld Theatre on March 1. Tucker will vlog about her experience in the musical for Broadway.com.
In addition to her cheered performance in London's Come From Away, Tucker's stage résumé includes performances in Wicked and The Last Ship. She recently headlined a special London-debut gala performance of The Pirate Queen.
Come From Away tells the true story of 7,000 stranded passengers on September 11, 2001, and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. The show features a book, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, direction by 2017 Tony winner Christopher Ashley, musical staging by Kelly Devine and music supervision by Ian Eisendrath.
