Miguel Cervantes steps back into the title role of the Broadway smash Hamilton on March 3. The Hamilton alum, who recently closed out the Chicago production, replaces recent Broadway lead Jimmie "J.J." Jeter.
In addition to his Chicago turn in Hamilton, Cervantes previously played Alexander Hamilton on Broadway and on tour. His other stage credits include Broadway roles in If/Then and American Idiot and a touring turn in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Cervantes joins a current Hamilton cast that includes Daniel Breaker as Aaron Burr, Tamar Greene as George Washington, Krystal Joy Brown as Eliza, Mandy Gonzalez as Angelica Schuyler, James Monroe Iglehart as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Fergie L. Philippe as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Aubin Wise as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, Daniel Yearwood as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton and Euan Morton as King George.
Featuring a book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, with musical direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.
