Wonderful Town received two of three awards when the winners of the 2004 TDF/Astaire Awards were announced. Both Wonderful Town's director/choreographer Kathleen Marshall and star Donna Murphy were honored. The Boy from Oz's Hugh Jackman picked up the Best Male Dancer award. These recipients were chosen from the entire Broadway season.
In a break from recent tradition, nominees for this year's Astaire Awards were not announced, and the winners were not revealed at a ceremony. Winners will be honored later this month at a private reception given by TDF.
