Kim Cattrall is set to make her British stage debut in Brian Clark's Whose Life is it Anyway? The play, directed by Sir Peter Hall, will begin previews on January 7 at the Duke of York's Theatre and open there on January 25.
Whose Life is it Anyway? follows the talented sculptor Claire Harrison Cattrall, who is used to being in control of her life--until a serious road accident forces her to contemplate a future in which she will remain constantly dependent on those around her. Left with only the use of her sharp mind and indomitable spirit, Claire does not submit quietly to her fate.
Cattrall, best known for her Emmy-nominated portrayal of the sexually adventurous Samantha Jones on HBO's Sex and the City, has appeared on Broadway in Wild Honey. Her other theatre credits include regional productions of A View From The Bridge, Three Sisters for which she won a Dramalogue Award and Miss Julie. Her film credits include Rosebud, Porky's, Police Academy, Big Trouble in Little China, Bonfire of the Vanities, The Return of the Musketeers, Masquerade Unforgettable, Baby Geniuses, 15 Minutes and Crossroads. Her latest film project, Ice Princess is scheduled to be released in December.
Whose Life is it Anyway? will play a 16-week limited engagement.
