Jason Biggs will star in Daniel Goldfarb's Modern Orthodox at off-Broadway's Dodger Stages, a production spokesperson confirmed to Broadway.com.
Biggs has participated in two readings of Modern Orthodox. The actor made his Broadway debut in 1992, playing opposite Judd Hirsch in Herb Gardner's Conversations With My Father. He returned to the Great White Way in 2002, starring alongside Kathleen Turner and Alicia Silverstone in The Graduate. Biggs is best known for his star turns in the three American Pie films. His other big screen credits include Saving Silverman, Loser, Boys and Girls, Anything Else and Jersey Girl.
In Modern Orthodox, a young NYC couple is in search of wedded bliss and a way to get rid of the diamond dealer who has taken over their lives. The last reading of the play featured Biggs, Rachel Dratch, Dan Futterman and Sarah Jessica Parker, but only Biggs is currently set to take place in the full-scale mounting.
Modern Orthodox, directed by James Lapine, is scheduled to begin performances on November 11 in preparation for a December 6 opening.
