Holbrook Wins Featured Role in All Shook Up

Curtis Holbrook completes the principal cast of All Shook Up. He will play military schoolboy Dean Hyde, which was performed by Ashton Holmes during the show's developmental Goodspeed Musicals mounting. Holmes left the project to star in the upcoming David Cronenberg film A History of Violence.

Holbrook was previously announced for the All Shook Up ensemble. He has appeared on Broadway in Footloose, Fosse, The Boy From Oz and Taboo. His other New York stage credits include Radiant Baby at the Public Theater.

Holbrook joins previously announced stars Jarrod Emick, Jennifer Gambatese, Jonathan Hadary, Leah Hocking, Nikki M. James, John Jellison, Alix Korey, Mark Price and Sharon Wilkins in All Shook Up. The cast will also include Justin Bohon taking Holbrook's place in the ensemble, Justin Brill, Paul Castree, Cara Cooper, Randy A. Davis, Jennie Ford, Cheyenne Jackson, Trisha Jeffrey, Michelle Kittrell, Anika Larsen, Michael X. Martin, Karen Murphy, John Eric Parker, Justin Patterson, Jenell Lynn Randall, Michael James Scott, Jenny-Lynn Suckling and Virginia Woodruff.

All Shook Up, directed by Christopher Ashley and choreographed by Ken Roberson, will try out at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre, where it is scheduled to run from December 19, 2004 through January 23, 2005. It is then set to land at Broadway's Palace Theatre, with performances beginning on February 20, 2005 in preparation for a March 24, 2005 opening.
