Broadway.com has learned that Mark Blum and Adam Trese will complete the cast of the Roundabout Theatre Company's mounting of Reginald Rose's Twelve Angry Men. They join previously announced stars Tom Aldredge, Philip Bosco, Larry Bryggman, Robert Clohessy, Boyd Gaines, Kevin Geer, Dan Hedaya, Michael Mastro, John Pankow and James Rebhorn in the drama.
Blum has appeared on Broadway in The Merchant, Lost in Yonkers, My Thing of Love, Gore Vidal's The Best Man, A Thousand Clowns and The Graduate. His off-Broadway credits include The Cherry Orchard, Table Settings, It's Only a Play, Mizlansky/Zilinsky,The Waverly Gallery and The Long Christmas Ride Home. He will play Juror #1 in Twelve Angry Men.
Trese appeared on the Great White Way in A View From the Bridge. His off-Broadway credits include Othello, Mercy, The Time of the Cuckcoo and The Women of Lockerbie. Trese also starred in the short-lived 1998 ABC series Push with Jaime Pressly. He will play Juror #12 in Twelve Angry Men.
Twelve Angry Men is a courtroom drama that follows 12 jurors as they deliberate on a seemingly clear-cut murder case. The Roundabout mounting of the play, directed by Scott Ellis, is scheduled to begin performances at the American Airlines Theatre on October 1 and officially open on October 19.
A production spokesperson could not confirm the casting of Blum or Trese.
