Full casting has been announced for the upcoming West End production of Brian Clark's Whose Life is it Anyway?, directed by Sir Peter Hall. Janet Suzman, Ann Mitchell, William Chubb, Amita Dhiri, Alexander Siddig, Jotham Annan, Rachel Bavidge and Emma Lowndes will join star Kim Cattrall in the play.
Suzman, who will play Dame Jane Millhouse, has worked extensively for the Royal Shakespeare Company where her roles have included Cleopatra, Clytemnestra and Helen of Troy. Her West End work includesThree Sisters, Hedda Gabler and Sisters Rosenzweig. Mitchell, set for the role of Sister Anderson, earned great acclaimed and a 2004 Olivier Award nomination for her performance in Through The Leaves. Chubb, who is to play Doctor Emerson, has numerous credits with the Peter Hall Company, including Galileo's Daughter, Don Juan and Man and Superman. Dhiri's theatrical credits include Feelgood, The Crucible and Disparate Bodies. She will play Miss Hill in Whose Life is it Anyway?. Siddig's theatrical credits include Brother Eichemann and Sinbad the Sailor. He will play Doctor Scott. Annan, who is set for the role of John, has appeared in prominent London productions of Hamlet and Macbeth. Bavidge, who will play Margaret Boyle, has appeared in The Greater Good and Aladdin. Lowndes' theatrical credits include The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, The Seagull, Port and Ash Girl. She will play Nurse Kay Sadler in this production.
Whose Life is it Anyway? follows the talented sculptor Claire Harrison Cattrall, who is used to being in control of her life--until a serious road accident forces her to contemplate a future in which she will remain constantly dependent on those around her. Left with only the use of her sharp mind and indomitable spirit, Claire does not submit quietly to her fate.
Whose Life is it Anyway? will begin previews on January 7 at the Duke of York's Theatre and open there on January 25.
