Eder is best known to theater audiences as Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde. She played the character through seven years of touring, rewrites and cast changes and won a 1997 Theatre World Award for the role. She returned to the stage in the summer of 2003 to star as the title character in Camille Claudel at Goodspeed Musicals' Norma Terris Theatre. The tuner was expected to hit Broadway last spring, but the production never made it to New York. She recently reprised the role as part of the National Alliance for Musical Theater Festival. Eder is also a popular recording artist, having released eight solo albums Linda Eder, And So Much More, It's Time, It's No Secret Anymore, Christmas Stays The Same, Gold, Broadway My Way and Storybook. In 2001, she also performed a Broadway holiday concert: Linda Eder Live at the Gershwin: The Holiday Concert ran at the Gerswhin for five performances.
Eder is not the only star to be doing holiday concerts at the Palace this year. Vanessa Williams is performing there December 1 through December 5 to promote her Christmas album Silver & Gold.
