Will Uma Thurman flaunt it in the movie version of Mel Brooks' The Producers musical? The film star has reportedly accepted the role of voluptuous secretary Ulla in the movie, according to The New York Post. She would be taking over for Nicole Kidman, who withdrew earlier this month because of scheduling conflicts.
Thurman recently earned a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Kill Bill: Vol. 2, having earned one last year for the first volume. She was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her performance in Pulp Fiction and won a Golden Globe for her work in the television movie Hysterical Blindness. Her other film credits include Johnny Be Good, Dangerous Liaisons, Where the Heart Is, Henry & June, Mad Dog and Glory, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, Beautiful Girls, The Truth About Cats & Dogs, Batman & Robin, Gattaca, Les Miserables, The Avengers, Sweet and Lowdown, Tape, Chelsea Walls and Pay Check.
The Producers film, directed by Susan Stroman, stars original Broadway cast members Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Roger Bart and Gary Beach and rising Hollywood star Will Ferrell. The movie is scheduled to start filming in February at Brooklyn's new Steiner Studios.
