Marissa Jaret Winokur Gets Stacked Alongside Pamela Anderson For Fox
"I was so excited to meet Pamela," Winokur told Broadway.com. "We came in for our first day blocking with the crew and we were both wearing the same exact faux white Juicy Coutures with white tank tops. We were wearing the same thing, but four sizes different! It was the craziest thing. But I changed--I wanted the crew to be able to tell us apart!"
In Stacked, Anderson plays Skyler Dayton, a gorgeous party girl who tries to clean up her life by getting a job at a small family-run bookstore/coffee shop called The Stacks. Winokur plays Katrina, a cynical coffee counter girl who has to accept the sudden presence of a man-magnet like Skyler. "She just has bad luck," Winokur says of her character. "Anything that can go wrong for her does. It's always something. Pamela coming in and working at the bookstore is an example of her bad luck. It'll be a lot of fun to play off of her." Stacked also stars stage vet Tom Everett Scott and Christopher Lloyd.
Although Anderson may not be from the Broadway stage, Winokur reveals that she's got a showtune side to her: "During the photo shoot for the show, Anderson had a DJ playing music and we listened to Dreamgirls like three times in a row! Pamela Anderson loves Dreamgirls! Who knew?!"
