Burns is best known for his television performances--he notable played the womanizing Kirk on Dear John, a calm father and teacher on Something So Right and a desperate station manager on Good Morning Miami. His off-Broadway credits include True West, Don Juan and The Exonerated. He has also appeared on stage in Sarcophagus at the Los Angeles Theater Center and Gillette and Diva at the La Jolla Playhouse.
Smith-Cameron appeared in Sarah, Sarah at MTC last season. Her other Broadway credits include Night Must Fall, Our Country's Good for which she received a Best Featured Actress Tony nomination, Lend Me a Tenor, The Real Inspector Hound, The Play's the Thing, Crimes of The Heart, Wild Honey and Tartuffe. Her many off-Broadway credits include Music From A Sparkling Planet, Fuddy Meers, Outer Critics Nomination for Best Actress, As Bees in Honey Drown Obie Award, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, The Memory of Water, The Naked Truth Drama Desk nomination, Blue Window, Owners and Traps and Desdemona.
Korbich previously appeared on Broadway in Sweeney Todd, Carousel, Seussical and Wicked. His off-Broadway credits include Godspell, Assassins, Eating Raoul and Taking a Chance on Love for which he won an Obie Award. His other theatrical credits include Heaven Help Us!, Dracula, Gamester, 3hree, George M, Tintypes and Man of La Mancha.
After the Night and the Music is an evening of three one-acts about life in the new millennium, including an overweight chorus boy's longing to dance, married couples longing for sex and aging singles looking for love.
The world premiere is scheduled to officially open on May 19.
