The Roundabout Theatre Company has changed the opening date of Jon Robin Baitz's The Paris Letter at the Laura Pels Theatre. The show will now have its official off-Broadway bow on June 12, instead of the originally announced June 9, a date that was recently taken by the Broadway production of Mark Twain Tonight!
In The Paris Letter, Wall Street powerhouse Sandy Sonenberg played by Ron Rifkin finds his personal and professional life threatened by the unraveling secrets of his past. A tragic game of financial and moral betrayal is played out over four decades, from 1962 to the present, and between two friends at the cost of family, friendship, love and marriage.
Directed by Doug Hughes, the cast includes Rifkin, John Glover, Daniel Eric Gold, Lee Pace and Michele Pawk. The show is scheduled to begin previews on May 13.
