Alan Tudyk will step into Spamalot while Tony-nominated star Hank Azaria is off shooting the Showtime series Huff. Tudyk is set to begin performances on June 8 and will stay in the show until late November, according to a representative for the actor.
Tudyk won a 1997 Theatre World Award for his off-Broadway debut in Bunny Bunny. His other off-Broadway credits include Misalliance, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told and Wonder of the World. He has appeared on Broadway once before in Epic Proportions. His film credits include Patch Adams, 28 Days, Wonder Boys, A Knight's Tale, Hearts in Atlantis, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and I, Robot. He also played a main role in television's Firefly and will star in the upcoming film, Serenity, based on the series.
