Jenn Colella to Star in Twyla Tharp/Bob Dylan Project at the Old Globe
Broadway.com has learned that Jenn Colella will be one of the leads in the upcoming as-yet-untitled Twyla Tharp/Bob Dylan project. The show is set to premiere at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre, where it will run from January 25 through March 5.
"There is going to be so much going on onstage," Colella, who appeared in a reading of the show, told Broadway.com. "I am taking dance lessons, learning fire spinning... It is going to be great."
Colella is best known for playing leading lady Sissy in Urban Cowboy on Broadway. Her other theatrical credits include Peter Pan, Angels in America, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Company, Sylvia, Victor/Victoria and the New York Musical Theatre Festival mounting of The Great American Trailer Park Musical. Before she heads to San Diego, Colella will star in the off-Broadway musical Slut at the American Theatre of Actors in the fall.
