Off-Broadway's Cookin' to Play Final Performance on August 7

Cookin' will play its final run at the Minetta Lane on August 7. At the time it closes, the show will have played 632 performances, according to a production spokesperson.

Staged in a restaurant kitchen, Cookin' is a non-verbal percussion show featuring four crazy Korean chefs who are working against the clock to prepare a complete wedding banquet. The piece was conceived and directed by Seung Whan Song.

Cookin' officially opened off-Broadway on March 7 after engagements throughout the world. In his Broadway.com Review of the production, William Stevenson wrote: "Stomp meets Iron Chef in this energetic slicing-and-dicing percussion show. Although it's not for everyone--especially those with a low tolerance for loud drumming and music--it's a fun, zesty Korean import."

Cookin' will continue to tour. Future plans for the show include stops in Mainland China, Indonesia and Hong Kong, as well as scheduled engagements throughout Europe and Russia.
