Jessica Boevers and Christopher J. Hanke are set to star in the upcoming Broadway musical In My Life. The show, written and directed by Joe Brooks, will begin previews at the Music Box Theatre on October 20.
Boevers has appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Rent, Beauty and the Beast and Oklahoma!. Her off-Broadway credits include The IT Girl. Since Oklahoma! closed in 2003, Boevers has been working regionally. She directed a production of Eve Ensler's Necessary Targets at the Apple Tree Theatre in Illinois.
Hanke appeared off-Broadway as Nick in Fame. His other theatrical credits include tours of Big River, Fame and The Full Monty and regional mountings of Baby, Damn Yankees, Grease! and Songs For A New World.
In In My Life, a musician with Tourette's syndrome Hanke and a journalist with obsessive compulsive disorder Boevers meet at a grocery store--with some help from above--and begin an unlikely romance.
