Third Watch Star Molly Price to Headline Manic Flight Reaction at Playwrights
Third Watch star Molly Price will headline the Playwrights Horizons world premiere of Sarah Schulman's Manic Flight Reaction. The cast will also feature Jessica Collins, Angel Desai, Michael Esper, Austin Lysy and Deirdre O'Connell.
Manic Flight Reaction concerns a middle-aged professor O'Connell who must confront the demons of her idealistic past when her daughter Collins learns one of her mother's past liaisons Price is the wife of the leading presidential candidate.
Price starred as Officer Faith Yokas for all six seasons of the NBC series Third Watch. She has appeared on Broadway in Salome and off-Broadway in Scrapple and Servie 'N Bernice 4 Ever. Her regional theater credits include The Crucible, The Heidi Chronicles and Cover of Life.
Collins is a 2005 Juilliard graduate. She appeared at Juilliard in productions of Macbeth, Faust, The Marriage of Figaro, American Occupation, The Odyssey, Miss Lonelyhearts, The Birds, The Three Sisters and As You Like It. Desai appeared in The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin at Playwrights and has also been featured off-Broadway in The Architecture of Loss, Stop Kiss, Henry VIII, The Winter's Tale, Angelique, Gum and Antigone Project. Esper's New York stage credits include Gone Missing, Moon Bath Girl and Her Name Is Kathy. Lysy appeared on the Great White Way in Macbeth and off-Broadway in Other People at Playwrights and Hobson's Choice at The Atlantic. O'Connell, who received the 2005 Obie Award for Sustained Excellence in Performing, has appeared at Playwrights Horizons in Spatter Pattern or, How I Got Away With It and Moe's Lucky Seven.
