Brian Murray and Sarah Paulson will join Judith Light and Lily Rabe in the MCC production of Laura Wade's Colder Than Here. The show, directed by Abigail Morris, is scheduled to run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre from September 7 through October 15, according to a production spokesperson.
Murray's Broadway credits include Uncle Vanya, Twelfth Night, Noises Off for which he received a Drama Desk Award, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead Tony nomination, Black Comedy, The Little Foxes Tony nomination, The Crucible and The Rivals. His off-Broadway credits include Long Day's Journey Into Night, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Misalliance, Molly Sweeney, Travels With My Aunt, Ashes, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet, The Butterfly Collection, The Play About the Baby, Beckett/Albee and Much Ado About Nothing.
Paulson played Laura Wingfield in the recent revival of The Glass Menagerie. She also appeared on Broadway in The Sisters Rosensweig. Her off-Broadway credits include Taking Pictures and Killer Joe. Paulson was a regular on the television series American Gothic, Jack & Jill, Leap of Faith and The D.A.. She also had substantial featured roles in the movies The Other Sister and Down with Love.
Colder Than Here centers on of Myra Light, a dying woman who sets out to plan the perfect funeral for herself. As she researches burial spots and biodegradable coffins, her family is finally forced to communicate with her, and each other, as they face up to an unpredictable future.
