Lynda Carter to Make West End Debut in Chicago

Lynda Carter is set to make her West End debut in Chicago. She will begin an eight-week engagement as Matron Mama Morton on September 26.

While Carter is best known as the star of the Wonder Woman television series, she began her career as a singer, fronting numerous bands at venues throughout America before turning to acting. In addition to Wonder Woman, Carter starred in the series Partners in Crime and Hawkeye. The actress was recently featured on the big screen in both The Dukes of Hazzard and Sky High.

Carter will take over the role of Mama Morton from Zee Asha. The West End production of Chicago also stars Sally Ann Triplett as Roxie Hart, Rachel Stanley as Velma Kelly and Terence Maynard as Billy Flynn. Like Asha, Stanley is departing on September 24. Amra-Faye Wright will begin performances as Velma Kelly on September 26, the same day Carter starts.
