The Public Theater has extended its limited engagement of the Michael John LaChiusa musical See What I Wanna See by two weeks. The show will now run at the Anspacher space through December 4.
From a mysterious murder in Central Park to a tragic Tuesday in September, New York stories of faith, loss and redemption are explored in See What I Wanna See. The show, with words and music by LaChiusa, was suggested by the short stories of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, as translated by Takashi Kojima.
See What I Wanna See stars Marc Kudisch, Aaron Lohr, Idina Menzel, Henry Stram and Mary Testa. Directed by Ted Sperling, the tuner began previews on October 11 and is scheduled to officially open on October 30.
