Patrick Stewart's acclaimed solo production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, which has played numerous times in New York and has been previously seen in London, is going to the West End for the holiday season. The show will run at the Albery Theatre, which will soon be left vacant by the premature closing of Ducktastic, from December 6 through December 31.
Using just a few props, Stewart tells the complete story of A Christmas Carol. The actor portrays every character utilizing Dickens' original text to spin his tale. A Christmas Carol, adapted and staged by Stewart, features lighting by Fred Allen. Seen for four engagements in New York and in London in 1993 at the Old Vic, the show won Stewart an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment and a Best Actor Drama Desk Award.
