Michelle Collins and Javine will join previously announced star, Harvey, in the upcoming premiere of Daddy Cool, the new musical primarily featuring songs made famous by European disco legends Boney M. Daddy Cool is scheduled to begin performances at the West End's Shaftesbury Theatre on April 26.
Daddy Cool centers on Sunny Harvey, who finds himself at the center of a battle between East and West London crews. Sunny is from West London but falls in love with the daughter of East End club owner Ma Baker Collins. Javine will play the main singer at Ma Baker's club.
Collins is probably best known for playing Cindy Beale in the hit series East Enders. Other notable television credits include the series Suburn, Two Thousand Acres of Sky and Single.
Javine spent two years playing Nala in the West End production of The Lion King before rising to fame in reality television. She was a contestant on Popstars: The Rivals and then went on to win Making Your Mind Up on the BCC. A successful recording artist, Javine also went to last year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Daddy Cool is slated for a May 16 official opening.
