Complete Cast Announced for Kismet at Encores!

Complete casting has been announced for the upcoming Encores! staging of Kismet. Joining previously announced headliners Brian Stokes Mitchell and Marin Mazzie will be Marcy Harriell as Marsinah, Danny Gurwin as Caliph, Danny Rutigliano as Wazir, Randall Duk Kim as Omar and Tom Aldredge as Jawan.

Kismet, based on a play by Edward Knoblock, features music by Alexander Borodin, musical adaptation and lyrics by Robert Wright and George Forrest and a book by Charles Lederer and Luther Davis. The story follows an inventive poet-scoundrel Mitchell, his beautiful daughter Harriell and a wicked Wazir Rutigliano and his man-hungry wife Mazzie.

Kismet is scheduled to run at City Center from February 9 through February 12. In addition to the cast members named above, the concert staging, directed by Lonny Price, will feature Christine Arand, Michael Baldarrama, Dennis Blackwell, Jane Brockman, Liza Bugarin, Michelle Camaya, Marcus Choi, Christine Clemmons-McCune, Scott Dispensa, Tony Falcon, Keith Kuhl, Jay Lusteck, Sumie Maeda, Michael X. Martin, Frank Mastrone, Andre McRae, Justin Lee Miller, Marcus Nance, Nina Negri, Elizabeth Parkinson, Robyn Payne, Rachelle Rak, Joe Reid, Roland Rusinek, Tim Salamandyk, Solange Sandy, Jennifer Savelli, Laura Yen Solito, Larry Beale Small and Scott Watanabe.
