Daly was previously seen on the Broadway stage in Coastal Disturbances, his performance in which earned him a Theatre World Award. He has also appeared onstage in Henry Flamethrowa at Studio Dante, Oliver, Oliver at the Manhattan Theatre Club, Mass Appeal and Bus Stop at Trinity Square Repertory, The Glass Menagerie at the Santa Fe Festival Theatre, A Knife in the Heart and A Study in Scarlet at the Williamstown Playhouse and Paris Bound at the Berkshire Theatre Festival.
Daly is best known for his work on NBC's Wings, in which he portrayed airline pilot Joe Hacket. His film credits include Diner, Just the Way You Are, Made in Heaven, Spellbinder, Love or Money, Year of the Comet, Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde, The Associate, The Object of My Affection, Basic, Against the Ropes and the upcoming Mr. Gibb and The Skeptic.
The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial focuses on two lieutenants who commandeered the U.S.S. Caine in World War II during a typhoon. In order for the lieutenant Fox to get out of the charges, his lawyer Schwimmer must prove that the commander of the ship Ivanek was mentally incapable controlling the ship or leading his men. Daly will reportedly play a prosecutor in the courtroom drama.
