Additional Casting Announced for Signature's Landscape of the Body

Jonathan Fried, Brian Sgambati, Paul Sparks and Bernard White will join Lili Taylor and Sherie Rene Scott in the Signature Theatre Company mounting of John Guare's Landscape of the Body. The production, directed by Michael Grief, is scheduled to begin performances at Signature's Peter Norton Space on March 28.

Fried's off-Broadway credits include The Tragedy of Richard III, Sleep Deprivation Chamber, Richard II, Hamlet and The Two Noble Kinsmen. Sgambati appeared on the Great White Way in King Lear. Sparks, who appeared on Broadway in Take Me Out, received Drama Desk nominations for his work off-Broadway in Coyote on a Fence, Blackbird and Orange Flower Water. White played the title character in the Public Theater production of The Death of Garcia Lorca.

Set in 1970s Greenwich Village, Landscape of the Body centers on Betty Yearn Taylor, who is on the lam, connected to the mysterious murder of her teenaged son.

Landscape of the Body is scheduled to open on April 16 and run through May 21.
