In Bridge & Tunnel, 14 characters all portrayed by Jones travel the roads of assimilation to tell the story of American change in an ever-changing America. Mohammed, a charismatic Pakistani accountant, Mrs. Ling, the Chinese mother adjusting to her daughter's alternative lifestyle and Nereida, a young Latina with a quick wit and an even faster tongue, are just a few of Jones' gallery of characters.
Bridge & Tunnel was a hit at 45 Bleecker in 2004 and opened on Broadway to mostly rave reviews on January 26. In his Broadway.com Review of the show, Rob Kendt wrote: "Jones' craft resembles that of a sleight-of-hand artist with inexhaustible tricks up her sleeve. But on her sleeve is the unmistakable impression of her heart."
Jay Johnson: The Two and Only!, a one-man show by and starring ventriloquist Jay Johnson that played at the Atlantic Theater, is currently in the midst of an engagement at California's Brentwood Theater, which is scheduled to end February 19.
