Curry received a Tony Award nomination for his performance as King Arthur in Spamalot, a show he left in December. He is best known for creating the role of Dr. Frank 'N' Furter in the original theatrical production of The Rocky Horror Show and the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In addition to Spamalot, he has received Tony nominations for his work in the play Amadeus and the musical My Favorite Year. Other theatrical credits include Hair, Lie Down, I Think I Love You and A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden.
Beale, who is one of the most acclaimed stage actors in London, replaced Curry in the Broadway production of Spamalot on December 20. He is an associate of the RSC, National and Almeida Theatres. He made his Broadway debut two seasons ago in Jumpers, receiving a Tony nomination for his performance. Waddingham's West End credits include Lautrec, The Likes of Us, Tonight's the Night, Grease and The Beautiful Game. She is currently performing in Alan Ayckbourn's A Chorus of Disapproval at Theatre Clwyd. Before Spamalot, Waddingham will appear in the West Yorkshire Playhouse in the new musical,Bad Girls, which will run from May 27 through July 1.
Spamalot is scheduled to officially open in the West End on October 17.
