Marla Schaffel Replaces Emily Skinner in Fanny Hill

Marla Schaffel will replace Emily Skinner in the off-Broadway musical Fanny Hill next week. Skinner, who is leaving to recover from a recent injury, will play her final performance on March 5; Schaffel will begin on March 8.

Schaffel received a Tony Award nomination, Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award for her performance in Jane Eyre. Her other Broadway credits included Titanic and Les Miserables. She has also appeared in the tours of Evita, My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music. Schaffel most recently appeared on the New York stage in A Broadway Diva Christmas, which ran at the Julia Miles Theater from November 23 through December 31.

Ed Dixon's Fanny Hill, directed by James Brennan, began performances at Saint Peter's Theatre on February 1 and opened there on February 14. Nancy Anderson, Patti Allison, David Cromwell, Michael J. Farina, Gina Ferrall, Adam Monley, Christianne Tisdale and Tony Yazbeck continue to star.
