Alison Pill will replace Kerry Condon in the Atlantic Theater Company production of Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore off-Broadway and move to the Great White Way with the play. Original cast member Kerry Condon, who will have her final show on April 2, is departing the play to return to work on the HBO series Rome. Pill's first performance as Mairead will be April 4.
Pill has appeared off-Broadway in Neil LaBute's The Distance From Here and Christopher Shinn's On The Mountain. Pill was featured earlier this season in the controversial NBC series The Book of Daniel. Her film credits include Pieces of April, Fast Food High, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, The Crypt Club and One Way to Valhalla.
Pill will be joining a cast that includes Jeff Binder, Andrew Connolly, Dashiell Eaves, Peter Gerety, Domhnall Gleeson, Brian d'Arcy James and David Wilmot. The Lieutenant of Inishmore, directed by Wilson Milam, is scheduled to run at the Atlantic through April 9. It will then move to the Lyceum Theatre where performances are scheduled to begin on April 19.
