Hamish Linklater and Luke MacFarlane will join Christine Lahti in the Playwrights Horizons production of The Busy World is Hushed. The Keith Bunin play is set to begin performances on May 27 a day later than previously announced.
Linklater appeared at Playwrights in Recent Tragic Events and The Chemistry of Change. His other New York theater credits include Good Thing, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, The Square and Love's Fire. He is currently appearing onstage in Cyclone at Studio Dante. Linklater has a featured role in the CBS comedy The New Adventures of Old Christine.
MacFarlane starred in Juvenilia at Playwrights. He has also appeared on the New York stage in Where Do We Live at the Vineyard Theatre. MacFarlane can currently be seen on the small screen as Frank "Dim" Dumphy on the FX series Over There.
Directed by Mark Brokaw, the show is scheduled to officially open on Playwrights' Mainstage on June 20 and run there through July 2.
