Kate Reinders Joins B'way's Wicked on May 30

Kate Reinders will be the next Glinda in the Broadway production of Wicked, beginning performances on May 30. She replaces Megan Hilty, who will soon appear alongside Leslie Kritzer in the new musical Vanities at Theatreworks in Palo Alto, California.

Reinders starred as Glinda in the Chicago production of Wicked. In New York, she is best known for starring in the short-lived Beach Boys tuner Good Vibrations and playing Dainty June in the Broadway revival of Gypsy. She also understudied the role of Becky Thatcher in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the roles of Cinderella, Little Red Ridinghood, Rapunzel and Milky-White in Into the Woods. Among her other notable theatrical credits are the pre-Broadway runs of A Year With Frog and Toad and the premiere of Nerds at Vassar College.

In addition to Hilty, Wicked currently stars Eden Espinosa, David Garrison, Carol Kane, Derrick Williams, Jenna Leigh Green, Sean McCourt and Robb Sapp.
