Complete casting has been announced the Public Theater world premiere of Diana Son's Satellites. Kevin Carroll, Johanna Day, Ron Cephas Jones, Satya Lee, and Clarke Thorell will join previously announced star Sandra Oh in the play.
In Satellites, new parents Nina Oh and Miles Carroll, an interracial couple, move into a transforming neighborhood in Brooklyn. They have a new house, a new baby, and only one of them has a job. Old friends and new strangers come into their lives, testing their instincts on who to trust and why.
Carroll previously appeared at the Public in Take Me Out which he was also featured in on Broadway and at the Donmar Warehouse and Son's Stop Kiss with Oh. Day is best known for her Tony-nominated portrayal of the neurotic Claire in Proof. Jones, who received an Olivier Award nomination for his work in Jesus Hopped the A Train which he also appeared in in New York, was previously featured at the Public in Richard III. Lee's off-Broadway credits include Tokyo Can Can 2, Beanie Baby Addition and Going Short. Thorell has appeared on Broadway in Hairspray, Tommy and Titanic.
Satellites, directed by Michael Greif, will begin previews on May 30at the Public's Martinson Theater. An official opening is set for June 18.
