Two-time Tony winner Frank Langella will join Michael Sheen in the Donmar Warehouse production of Peter Morgan's Frost/Nixon. The world premiere production, helmed by Donmar Artistic Director Michael Grandage, will begin previews on August 10 and officially open on August 21.
Frost/Nixon revisits the legendary interview between David Frost Sheen, the British TV talk-show host, and the infamous Richard Nixon Langella. The interview, which followed the 1972 Watergate scandal, drew the largest audience for a news interview ever. Could Frost be the man to elicit an apology from the man who committed one of the biggest felonies in American political history?
The production reunites Grandage and Sheen who previously worked together on the Donmar's 2003 production of Caligula, in which Sheen played the title role and won both the Evening Standard Theatre Award and Critics' Circle Award for Best Actor. Langella previously appeared in London in the Old Vic's production of Ken Ludwig's Over the Moon the retitled London version of Moon Over Buffalo in 2001.
Frost/Nixon is booking at the Donmar to October 7.
