Brian d'Arcy James and Richard Kind will join Keith Carradine as part of the new cast of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. D'Arcy James and Carradine will start as conmen Freddy Benson and Lawrence Jameson, respectively, on July 20. Kind will begin performances as Andre Thibault on August 3.
James is currently appearing on Broadway in The Lieutenant of Inishmore. The actor earned a Tony nomination for his performance in Sweet Smell of Success. His other Broadway credits include Blood Brothers, Les Misérables, Carousel and Titanic. He received Drama Desk nominations for his off-Broadway work in The Good Thief for which he won a Obie Award and The Wild Party. His other off-Broadway credits include Ancestral Voices, Velvet Vise, Public Enemy and Floyd Collins.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels currently stars Jonathan Pryce as Lawrence Jameson, Norbert Leo Butz as Freddy Benson, Gregory Jbara as Andre Thibault, Rachel York as Christine Colgate, Lucie Arnaz as Muriel Eubanks and Sara Gettelfinger as Jolene Oakes. York is only scheduled to appear through June 18, with original star Sherie Rene Scott returning on June 20.
