Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me will begin previews at Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on July 29 and have its official opening night on August 17, a week later than previously announced.
Conceived by Martin Short and Scott Wittman, Fame Becomes Me features a book by Short and Daniel Goldfarb Modern Orthodox, music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Wittman and Shaiman Hairspray. Directed by Wittman, the show is playing Toronto's Canon Theatre through July 2 and will have a pre-Broadway engagement at Chicago's LaSalle Bank Theatre formerly the Shubert July 5-16.
