Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger has been cast as Eponine in the upcoming revival of Les Misérables. She replaces Lea Michele, who dropped out to remain with the Broadway-bound production of Spring Awakening. Performances begin at the Broadhurst Theatre on October 24.
Keenan-Bolger received a 2005 Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony nomination as well as a Theatre World Award and Drama Desk ensemble award for her current role as Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Other stage credits include Michael John LaChiusa's Little Fish Second Stage, Kindertransport MTC and Summer of '42 Variety Arts. Regional credits include Johanna in Sweeney Todd Kennedy Center Sondheim Celebration, Emily in Our Town Intiman Theatre and Clara in the world premiere of The Light in the Piazza Goodman Theatre.
