Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton will return to the New York stage in December. The two-time Emmy Award winner will star in Theresa Rebeck's The Scene, set to run at off-Broadway's Second Stage Theater from December 12 through February 4, according to Variety.
The Scene is black comedy that takes on New York, the entertainment industry, marriage and even Ohio, centering on three old friends hitting middle age who have their worlds upended by the new hot, young thing.
As Patty Heaton, she made her Broadway debut as a choir member in the gospel musical Don't Get God Started at the Longacre Theatre in 1987. She is, of course, better known for her small screen credits, including stints on thirtysomething, Party of Five, The King of Queens and her celebrated leading work on the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, which ran from 1996 to 2005.
