Emily Skinner has been cast as Miss Mona in The Actors' Fund of America's benefit production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, to be held October 16 at the August Wilson Theatre. In addition, Jersey Boys cast members Daniel Reichard, Peter Gregus, Matt Scott and Tony winner Christian Hoff will be joining the cast.
Skinner received a joint Best Actress Tony nomination along with co-star Alice Ripley in 1998 as Daisy Hilton in Side Show. Other Broadway credits include The Full Monty and Dinner at Eight. Skinner also appeared in the Kennedy Center's Sondheim festival and in Encores! productions of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and No Strings.
Principal roles will be played by Harry Groener Spamalot, Crazy for You as the Governor, Jennifer Hudson American Idol and the forthcoming movie version of Dreamgirls as Jewel, Bob Martin The Drowsy Chaperone as Melvin P.
