Johnny Galecki will not miss the first two previews of the Broadway comedy The Little Dog Laughed, as had been previously announced. The filming schedule for the CBS pilot in which he co-stars, The Big Bang Theory, has been reworked to enable Galecki to perform on October 26 and 27 at the Cort Theatre.
The players in Douglas Carter Beane's farce include a screen idol hiding in the closet Tom Everett Scott, an ambitious male prostitute Galecki, his naive girlfriend Ari Graynor and a brash, driven Hollywood agent who can spin anyone and anything Julie White. The Little Dog Laughed is directed by four-time Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis.
Galecki created his role last season in the Second Stage production of The Little Dog Laughed. Among his many Chicago theater credits are The Drawer Boy and Pot Mom Steppenwolf Theatre, Galileo Goodman Theatre and The Member of the Wedding Stage Left Theatre, Joseph Jefferson nomination. Film credits include Happy Endings, Chrystal, Bookies, Vanilla Sky, Bounce, Playing Mona Lisa, The Opposite of Sex, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Suicide Kings. Television credits include Roseanne, My Name is Earl and the upcoming TBS series My Boys. This is his Broadway debut.
