Richard Easton returned to the lead role of Russian landowner Alexander Bakunin in Lincoln Center Theater's production of The Coast of Utopia on November 11. The Tony-winning actor had been out of the the first part Tom Stoppard's three-part epic, "Voyage," since October 18, when he became ill during the second preview. He was hospitalized and treated to correct a heart arrhythmia.
After Easton became ill, opening night was pushed back from November 5 to November 27 at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. The production is directed by Jack O'Brien and features a cast of 44 also headed by Billy Crudup, Jennifer Ehle, Josh Hamilton, David Harbour, Jason Butler Harner, Ethan Hawke, Amy Irving, Brían F. O'Byrne and Martha Plimpton.
