James Rebhorn Joins John Mahoney in Prelude to a Kiss

Complete casting has been announced for the Roundabout Theatre Company's forthcoming Broadway revival of Craig Lucas' Prelude to a Kiss. Joining the previously announced John Mahoney Old Man, Annie Parisse Rita, Alan Tudyk Peter and Robin Bartlett Mrs. Boyle will be James Rebhorn as Dr. Boyle. Daniel Sullivan is set to direct at the American Airlines Theatre. Previews begin February 16, with opening night on March 8. The limited engagement is scheduled to end April 22.

The cast of Prelude to a Kiss will also include Francois Battiste Tom, Brandon Dirden Ensemble, MacIntyre Dixon Minister, Marceline Hugot Aunt Dorothy, Leah, Matthew Rauch Taylor, John Rothman Uncle Fred and Karen Walsh Ensemble.

In Prelude to a Kiss, Peter and Rita follow their whirlwind courtship with a storybook wedding. After a mysterious elderly man appears and kisses the bride at the wedding, the two lovers are sent on a magical journey that they will never forget. As they struggle to come to terms with their relationship and Rita's nagging doubts, their love is put to the test by unknown forces.

Rebhorn appeared in the Roundabout's Broadway revival of Twelve Angry Men. Other Broadway credits include Dinner at Eight, The Man Who Had All the Luck, Our Town and I'm Not Rappaport. Off-Broadway credits include Far East, Ancestral Voices, Oblivion Postponed, On the Bum, Isn't It Romantic, The Innocents Crusade, Life During Wartime and Ice Cream and Hot Fudge. His many film credits include Anamorph, Bernard and Doris, Spinning Into Butter, Cold Mountain, Head of State, Far From Heaven, Scotland, PA, Meet the Parents, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Snow Falling on Cedars, Independence Day, The Game, Up Close & Personal, Scent of a Woman, Lorenzo's Oil, My Cousin Vinny and Basic Instinct.
