Federer, Auberjonois to Star in Kate Robin's Anon. at Atlantic Stage 2

Atlantic Theater Company will present the world-premiere production of Kate Robin's Anon. at Atlantic Stage 2, the company's new state-of-the-art, 99-seat second stage theater. The play, directed by Melissa Kievman, will begin previews January 24 and open officially on January 31, playing a limited engagement through February 18.

Anon. will feature Caroline Aaron Crimes and Misdemeanors, Remy Auberjonois The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow, Susan Blackwell [title of show], Shannon Burkett The Ride Down Mt. Morgan, Bill Buell Urinetown, Saidah Arrika Ekulona Well, Dana Eskelson After Ashley, Michelle Federer Wicked, Katy Grenfell Hairspray, Linda Marie Larson Jackie: An American Life, Jenny Maguire Wonder of the World, Kate Nowlin All This Intimacy, Danielle Skraastad The Pain and the Itch and Anna Wilson The Donkey Show.

Kate Robin's Six Feet Under, Intrigue With Faye world premiere play Anon. examines the hazy territory where sex, relationships, and addiction overlap, and raises the question, "When do peccadilloes become obsessions?" Trip Auberjonois and Allison Federer meet in a chance encounter when he hires her as a therapist for his morose, misbehaved cat. Little do they realize in their first meeting that they'll end up thrust into an intense relationship in which their desire to save each other and the need to save themselves may become mutually exclusive choices.

Anon. will feature scenic design by Chris Muller, costume design by Anne Kenney, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau and sound design by Eric Shim.

The play marks the second production at Atlantic Stage 2, where two new works will be staged each season. 10 X 20, a one-act festival of plays commissioned by notable playwrights whose work Atlantic has produced over the past two decades, inaugurated the theater last June.

The company's current off-Broadway production of David Mamet's adaptation of Harley Granville Barker's The Voysey Inheritance is now playing at the Atlantic Main Stage and has been extended through March 25.
