10 Million Miles tells the story of Duane Morrison and Molly's Molloy road trip in an old pick-up truck from the southern tip of Florida to the Northwest corner of New York, with many detours along the way. The musical explores the pursuit of love and family and the geography of the American dream. Sudduth and Winningham are billed as "the men" and "the women," respectively.
Molloy landed the lead role in the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down the Wind while still in high school and earned a Helen Hayes Award nomination prior to making her Broadway debut in The Civil War. Workshops include Sweet Smell of Success and Summer. Molloy was a series regular on the WB's Grosse Pointe and Fox's Andy Richter Controls the Universe.
Sudduth, best known as Officer John 'Sully' Sullivan in all six seasons of NBC's Third Watch, returns to Atlantic where he appeared in the world premiere of Woody Allen's Writer's Block. Broadway credits include The Iceman Comedy, Twelfth Night and The Grapes of Wrath. Off-Broadway credits include The Big Funk and Marisol. Sudduth is a member of the folk band Minus Ted and directed an episode of ER filmed on location in South Africa.
Winningham has appeared in the Los Angeles productions of Hurlyburly, Side Man, Lessons and The Genius. She received an Oscar nomination for Georgia and won Emmy Awards for George Wallce and Amber Waves. She is currently playing Meredith Grey's stepmother, Susan Grey, on ABC's Grey's Anatomy. 10 Million MIles will mark her New York stage debut.
Griffin is a two-time Grammy nominated recording artist whose songs have been recorded by the Dixie Chicks, Bette Midler, Reba McEntire, Jessica Simpson and Linda Ronstadt, among many others. Her latest album is Children Running Through. Bunin's most recent play, The Busy World Is Hushed was produced last summer by Playwrights Horizons and recently concluded a Los Angeles engagement featuring original star Jill Clayburgh. His plays include The Credeaux Canvas, The Principality of Sorrows, The King of Clocks and The World Over.
Three-time Tony Award® nominee Michael Mayer Thoroughly Modern Millie, A View From the Bridge returns to Atlantic, where he staged the world premiere production of Spring Awakening, which transferred to Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre on December 10, 2006.
