Adriane Lenox to Join B'way Chicago; Kelly Osbourne Will Be West End Mama

Oh, Mama! Tony Award winner Adriane Lenox has signed to join the Broadway company of Chicago as Matron Mama Morton, the reigning diva of Cooke County Jail, for an eight-week engagement beginning August 7 at the Ambassador Theatre. Across the pond, Kelly Osbourne will make her theatrical stage debut as Mama in the West End production for seven weeks, beginning September 10 at London's Cambridge Theatre.

Lenox won a 2005 Tony and Drama Desk Award for her performance in John Patrick Shanley's Doubt. Other Broadway credits include the musicals Caroline, or Change, Kiss Me, Kate, Fascinating Rhythm, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Dreamgirls and Ain't Misbehavin'. She will appear on Broadway through September 30.

Osbourne, the daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his wife, Sharon, skyrocketed to international notoreity on the family's Emmy Award-winning reality TV show The Osbournes, which debuted on MTV in 2002. Since then, she has released a cover version of Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach," two albums Shut Up and Sleeping in the Nothing, and a U.K. No. 1 hit, "Changes," a duet with her father. Osbourne made her TV acting debut in the ABC drama Life As We Know It. She has appeared on London TV in Project Catwalk, the documentary Turning Japanese and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here...NOW!. She will appear in Chicago until October 27.
