A Catered Affair is about the question that eventually faces every mother and daughter: Whose wedding is it anyway? One Bronx family in the early 1950s must decide whether to spend their life savings on a family business or to launch their only daughter's marriage with a lavish catered affair—the grand wedding they never had. The show stars Faith Prince and Tom Wopat as the mother and father of the bride, Harvey Fierstein who also wrote the book as the uncle and Leslie Kritzer and Matt Cavenaugh as the engaged couple. The score is by John Bucchino.
