The Piano Teacher Extends for Two Weeks, to 12/23

The Vineyard Theatre has announced a two-week extension of Julia Cho's new play The Piano Teacher, starring Elizabeth Franz and directed by Kate Whoriskey. The play, which opened to positive reviews on November 18, had been set to close on December 9 but will now run through December 23 at the Vineyard's off-Broadway theater.

Franz, a Tony Award winner for Death of a Salesman is cast as Mrs. K, a lonely, retired piano teacher who reaches out to her former students played by John Boyd and Carmen M. Herlihy to find out why they abruptly stopped taking piano lessons years before.
